THE COIN VAULT and CABLE SHOPPING NETWORK Partnership Announcement


Nashville, TENNESSEE, October 19.2009 - Two of America's longest running collectibles television shows are announcing a new partnership. The Coin Vault is partnering with Cable Shopping Network. The combined venture will be called "CSN presents The Coin Vault."


The Coin Vault originated in 1988 on the Shop at Home Network and is the longest continuously broadcast collectibles show in television history. Cable Shopping Network originated in 2002 and is an industry leader in television direct sales and marketing. The combination of the separate companies strengths will create the ultimate collectible shopping experience for all coin and currency enthusiasts. Other collectible categories will debut on the network in 2010.


The Coin Vault has been hosted by Robert Chambers for the past 22 years. Scott Houk, with over five years as host of Coin Country, has co-hosted with Chambers for the past year. Shawn Leflar, a former Coin Vault host, and CSN host for the past 18 months, will re-unite with the team creating a formidable group of the most experienced hosts with over fifty years combined service. The combined efforts of the new company equal over a century of numismatic and television experience. Silvertowne, the parent company of The Coin Vault, brings a sixty year reputation and an unmatched blend of numismatics and television marketing.


The annual retail market for rare and collectible coins in the U.S. is slightly over $10 billion, with television shopping channels representing $1 billion. The Coin Vault has a proven track record over the last two decades as a successful marketer of coins and currency on television realizing over $1 billion in sales. The Coin Vault has developed a large and loyal customer base over the last two decades. The Coin Vault has offered the latest government releases to the rarest vintage coins and currency. Cable Shopping Network has a sizeable and devoted customer base obtained through a variety or means. While operating a weekly series of shows similar to The Coin Vault, CSN has created a unique model via direct television sales or infomercials and marketing those individuals via catalogs, email, and direct calls.

The show can currently be seen on DirecTV on channel 227 on Monday from 6pm till 2am; Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm till 3am. Dish Network viewers can view the show on channel 225 every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6pm till 6am. Dish Network viewers can also catch The Coin Vault on channel 224 on Sunday nights from 9pm-1am. Cable subscribers can watch via ION network on Mondays from 1am-3am et, 12am-2am ct, 11pm-1am mt, and 1am-3am pt. All ION network times are local to the time zone. ION can be seen on DirecTV on channel 305 eastern times and 347 for west coast viewers. ION is available on Dish Network via channel 216 for the east coast and 217 for the west coast.
